Srinagar, January 08 (KNO) : Ganderbal police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler in Waliyar Lar area and recovered 6 kilograms of Charas from his possession.
"Acting on a specific tip-off, a police party headed by SHO Police Station Lar Inspector Nisar Hurrah accompanied by Naib-Tehsildar Lar Farooq Ahmad raided a house at Chanthan Gulabpora on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmed Poswal," police spokesman said in a statement issued to KNO.
While searching the house, six kilograms of Charas was recovered from the possession of accused person namely Naseer Ahmad Qureshi son of Abdul Aziz, police said, adding that in this regard, a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Lar and investigation taken up.(KNO)
